On the 9th of July, SISIS were proud to attend and showcase our latest turf maintenance solutions at one of the turfcare industry’s most respected and eagerly anticipated events -the annual Turf Business Educational Roadshow held once again at the prestigious Eton College.

Now in its fourth year, the event marked its most highly attended gathering to date, drawing in turf professionals from across the UK who are dedicated to raising standards in educational sports turf management. For SISIS, the opportunity to engage directly with those maintaining the sports facilities at schools, colleges and universities is one we deeply value.

The day featured a well-structured schedule of workshops, insightful presentations, a panel Q&A and an exclusive tour of Eton’s world-renowned grounds. We were particularly pleased to be part of an event that puts the spotlight on education, sustainability and the long-term care of sports surfaces - values that are central to our mission.

Among the day's highlights was a compelling presentation from Andy Mackay, ECB Pitch & Grounds Advisor, on the challenges of cricket pitch preparation and Tony Hanson from ESI focused on sustainable water usage - a topic of growing importance with the changing climate. The afternoon closed with Eton’s own Lee Marshallsay giving attendees a rare inside look into the operations and philosophy behind one of the most iconic school grounds in the country.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Darren McMahon, Head of Marketing at the Howardson Group, said:

“Supporting the education sector is at the heart of what we do. Events like these allow us to listen, share knowledge and continue innovating to meet the real-world challenges grounds professionals face. We’re proud to play a role in helping raise turf standards across the UK’s schools and colleges.”

As manufacturers of professional turf maintenance equipment trusted by institutions around the world, SISIS remain committed to supporting and engaging with turf professionals at every level. We’re thrilled to see the Educational Roadshow grow year after year and look forward to continuing our support for this vital initiative in the years to come.
